We're very fortunate to have one of the UK's leading youth coaches, Bill Prendergast, as our Director of Coaching. Bill is supported by our Lead Coach, Patrick Davies, a team of five professional coaches and over twenty parent coaches being mentored by Bill.

Bill Prendergast, Director of Coaching
Bill is one of the leading names in youth football. As Director of Crewe Alexandra's famous Youth Academy and while heading up the Junior Academy at Manchester City he was responsible for developing young players including Dean Ashton and Rob Hulse.

Now he divides his time between the FA, training the next generation of youth coaches and working at the grassroots to encourage good pratice. He says, "We need more clubs like FC Bluestar who put the kids before results. I jumped at the chance to help the club develop a first class coaching programme." Bill holds both the prestigious UEFA 'A' License and the coveted 'Pro' License.

Patrick Davies, Lead Coach
Patrick joins FC Bluestar's coaching team from being on the staff at Manchester City. Patrick leads our Community Programme, coaching over 1,800 children in local schools. He coaches all FCB ages from U5s to U16s and is about to gain his UEFA 'B' License.
