Bad news is that the derby game -v- FC Bluestar Galaxy is rained off.

I promised new signings and the good news is that it looks like we have 3 players from a Div 1 Timperley League team ready to sign for us to boost our squad.

I'd like a big turn out at training on Wednesday.  I know that some of you have had exams and Manchester City tickets.  I sympathise with both.  But please do call or text me 0796 818 8314 to let me know, so we can plan the training sessions.

It's Rose Hill Rovers at home in the cup.  Meet at 10am in Fog Lane Park, same as last week.  And if we play as well as we did last week, then we'll give ourselves a great chance of winning.  Last season we beat them at home and outplayed them away, so, let's do it again.

Changes...  We've lost one or two from the squad, but we've already signed a new player in Jordan (from Woodhouse Park) and we've got a new permanent captain, Ed.  We'll also be bringing in one or two new signings over the next few weeks who will significantly strengthen the squad as we push up the league table.

Home game -v- Macclesfield Saints: Meet 10am Fog Lane Park

I'm managing this week and we have a league referee.  We've already got 11 confirmed and I'm expecting 2 subs.  We've been playing well and competing for 65-70 minutes but falling away in the last 10-15 minutes of games.  Having subs should give us fresh legs and a few more tactical options than the past few games.

Macc Saints are the team we beat 2-1 away in our final game last season, so we should be looking for our first victory.  I'd like everyone to be there at 10am, as we have some work to do to prepare for the game, including some tactical changes, so please don't be late.

I know it's been a disappointing few weeks, but we've come through these patches before and been a stronger team for it.  I'm not just looking for some pride, passion, commitment and hard work (though we will definitely need that for 80 minutes!).  I'm looking for the passing flair and a bit of swagger on the ball that I know we have, but that's recently been missing.  When we play for each other, battle hard and play our passing game, we can match any of these teams.  Over the past couple of seasons, we've beaten most of them, and we can do it again. Come on Bluestar!

No game this week - the League haven't given us a fixture.

Training next Wednesday (11 Nov) as usual. Hoping for a big turnout as we've not been able to get the full squad together to train.  If we don't train together on Wednesdays, we shouldn't be surprised if we struggle on Sundays.

ALSO... Does anyone know of any players who might be interested in joining the squad.  We're scraping 11 for matches so we've could do with at least two new players.  Please ask around.
